Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and DueDuck Oy (business ID 3666618-9, Mannerheimintie 152 A 40, 00270 Helsinki, Finland) ("we", "us"), which runs DueDuck at dueduck.com.
They apply to everyone who uses DueDuck: visitors, members (people who join a community) and creators (people who run one). If you run a community, section 6 applies to you too.
1. What DueDuck is, and what it isn't
1.1 We host communities; creators run them. DueDuck is software that lets trading and investing creators run an online community: a Feed, Learn with lessons and questions, chat rooms, trades, portfolios, TradingView indicator access and membership plans. Each community is run by its creator, who decides what is posted, who can see it, and what it costs.
1.2 We don't check what people post. We don't write, choose or endorse what creators or members post, and we don't verify anyone's trades, results, holdings, qualifications or claims. Content on DueDuck is the responsibility of whoever posted it.
1.3 We are not a financial services provider. We are not an investment firm, investment adviser, broker, bank or payment institution. We don't give investment advice, manage money, execute trades or hold your funds.
2. Nothing on DueDuck is financial advice
2.1 Everything on DueDuck, whether written by us, a creator or another member, is general information and education only. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it is not a recommendation that you buy, sell or hold anything.
2.2 Nothing on DueDuck takes your personal circumstances into account. No adviser and client relationship exists between you and us, or (unless a creator agrees otherwise with you in writing, outside DueDuck) between you and any creator.
2.3 Trading and investing are risky. You can lose some or all of the money you invest, and with leveraged products more than you invest. Past results, including any trade record or portfolio shown on DueDuck, don't predict future results. Creators enter their trades' prices and mark how each trade ended; we don't check them against the market. A record shows only the trades a creator chose to post and has closed, so it may not include every trade they made.
2.4 Trade posts and portfolios carry a "Not financial advice" label that creators can't remove. The label is a reminder, not the whole story: this section applies to everything on DueDuck, labelled or not.
2.5 You make your own decisions, and you're responsible for them. If you need advice, talk to a licensed professional.
3. Your account
3.1 You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
3.2 Give us a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@dueduck.com if you think someone else has used it.
3.3 One person per account. Don't pretend to be someone else, and don't choose a name or photo that suggests you are a person or organisation you aren't (for example, a regulator, a bank or a well-known trader).
3.4 If you add a TradingView username, it must be yours.
4. Rules for everyone
You must not use DueDuck to:
- Break the law, including securities and market abuse law. In particular: no market manipulation (for example "pump and dump" schemes, or recommending something you plan to sell into the buying you cause), no insider dealing, and no unlawful disclosure of inside information.
- Mislead people about money: promising or implying guaranteed returns, inventing or cherry-picking results and presenting them as a full record, hiding that you're paid to promote something, or claiming qualifications, licences or holdings you don't have.
- Offer regulated services without the required authorisation, such as managing other people's money, taking deposits, running copy-trading or signal services that execute trades, or giving personal investment advice where that needs a licence.
- Promote scams or unauthorised offerings, including unregistered crypto-asset offerings, Ponzi or pyramid schemes, and "account management" or "recovery" services.
- Harass, threaten, dox or abuse anyone, or post hate speech.
- Post sexual content involving minors (we report it to the authorities), intimate images without consent, or content that promotes terrorism or violence.
- Infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights, including re-posting another creator's paid content, or TradingView scripts you have no right to share.
- Spam, run bots, scrape DueDuck, or send unsolicited promotion.
- Break or probe DueDuck: get around access controls or paywalls, get into other people's accounts or data, upload malware, or overload our systems. Found a security problem? Tell us at support@dueduck.com.
- Share other people's personal data without a lawful reason.
Creators must also follow section 6.
5. Communities and plans
5.1 Joining. Joining a community on its free plan is free. A community's paid plans give access to more of its content.
5.2 A community's own rules. A creator may set extra rules for their community. They apply between you and that creator, and can't take away anything in these terms.
5.3 Paid plans can't be bought yet. Until they open, payment pages run in Stripe's test mode and no real payment can be taken. Before paid plans open, we'll add the terms for buying them here and tell you.
6. Extra terms for creators
6.1 You run your community. You decide what to publish and to whom. You are responsible for everything you and your admins post, for how you moderate your community, and for what you promise your members.
6.2 Follow the rules that apply to you. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your content and your business, wherever you and your members are. This includes, where relevant:
- the EU Market Abuse Regulation (MAR). If you post something that recommends or suggests buying, selling or holding a financial instrument (for example a trade post, a watchlist or a portfolio), it may be an investment recommendation. You must then say who you are, present it objectively, and disclose any interest or conflict of interest, such as having a position in the instrument yourself (long or short) or being paid to promote it. The disclosure belongs on each post itself, not only on your community's pages. Each trade post asks whether you have a position in its symbol. Answer truthfully, also for a setup you haven't taken yourself, and count positions held by people close to you. If you are paid or otherwise benefit from a trade, say so in the trade's note. ESMA, the EU markets authority, publishes guidance for people posting investment recommendations on social media.
- rules on financial promotions and marketing, including those of the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) and any other regulator that covers you or your audience;
- licensing rules: don't give personal investment advice or offer other regulated services unless you're authorised to;
- consumer law, tax and data protection law for the member data you receive (see 6.6).
We don't check whether you comply, and we can't give you legal advice.
6.3 Honest records. A trade's prices can't be changed after posting. You can post updates (a take profit hit, the stop moved closer) and close the trade by marking how it ended, and you can delete it only in its first five minutes, for typos. Your community's record is built from what you enter, and members rely on it, so:
- mark a take profit or a stop as hit only when the market reached it;
- close every trade when it ends, losing ones included, and don't leave a trade open to keep it out of your record;
- don't post trades after the fact, don't post someone else's trades as your own, and don't present a selected set of trades as a complete record.
Portfolios must be labelled as what they are: your own allocation shared for education, or a model portfolio. Don't claim to hold positions you don't hold.
6.4 Selling plans. Paid plans aren't on sale yet. You can set up your plans and prices now. When payments open, you'll connect your own Stripe account and sell to your members yourself, as the seller, and our fee will be 5% of each payment. We'll add the full terms for selling here, and email you at least 15 days before they apply.
6.5 Your admins. If you make someone an admin of your community, you're responsible for what they do there.
6.6 Your members' data. You see some personal data about your members: their name and photo, their plan and when they joined, what they post, and their TradingView username if they ask for indicator access. When paid plans open, your Stripe account will also receive their email and payment details when they buy. For what you do with that data yourself, you are the controller, and you must handle it lawfully: use it to run your community, don't sell it, and don't add members to unrelated marketing lists without their consent.
6.7 Your content and your rights. You keep ownership of what you post, including your intellectual property. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display and deliver your content, and to show short previews of it, only as needed to run DueDuck and to promote DueDuck and your community (section 6.8). The licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies kept in backups for a limited time and records we must keep, such as reports and their outcomes.
6.8 Where we may show your community. Your community's name, pictures, description and public posts appear on Explore, in DueDuck's search, and in the previews shown when someone shares a link. We feature your community in DueDuck's own marketing (our website, emails and social media accounts) only with your permission, and you can take it back at any time by writing to support@dueduck.com. Nobody can pay us to be placed higher.
6.9 How Explore orders communities. Explore lists published communities, by default with the most members first. Visitors can sort instead by the most posts last week, or the newest first. "Trending" shows the communities that most people joined this week, and "Growing" those that grew the most in the last month, among communities with at least 20 members. We use these because they show which communities people find worth joining. Search finds communities whose name or tagline matches the words searched.
6.10 Data: who can see what.
- You can see your community's content, your members as described in 6.6, reports about content in your community (never who made them), your Learn questions' results and your community's numbers. With Download my data you can get a copy of what you posted.
- We can see all data on DueDuck. We use it to run, protect and improve DueDuck, as our Privacy Policy describes. We don't sell it, and we don't give it to other creators. We may publish totals across DueDuck that identify nobody.
- Other creators see only what any visitor or member can see.
- Stripe receives what it needs to run your payments when they open.
- When you stop, your community and its content are deleted when you delete them or your account. We keep only what the law requires us to keep (for example, records of our fees, and reports and their outcomes for 2 years). Download what you want to keep first.
6.11 Ending the contract. You can stop at any time by deleting your community or your account (section 8.1). We can end it only as section 8 describes.
6.12 Changes for creators. We email you about changes to these terms at least 15 days before they apply (30 days for changes that matter, as section 10 says). You can end the contract before then. We never change terms backwards in time to your disadvantage.
7. Reporting and moderation
7.1 The rules. Content and behaviour on DueDuck must follow section 4 and, inside a community, its creator's rules.
7.2 How to report. If you have an account, use Report on the post, comment or chat message and tell us why. If you don't, email support@dueduck.com with a link to the content and why you think it breaks the law or these terms. Please only report in good faith.
7.3 Who decides. Reports about content in a community go to its admins, who can remove it, mute a member in that community for a time, or remove them from it. Nobody decides a report about their own content: the community's other admins or we do. We can review any report, and we act on illegal content and serious breaches of these terms ourselves. People make these decisions; we don't use automated moderation. Some limits are automatic: you can upload up to 100 pictures or videos an hour, files are checked for type and size, and pictures are redrawn without their location and camera details.
7.4 What we can do. Where content or behaviour breaks the law or these terms, or a court or authority orders us to, we can remove or hide content, limit what an account can do, suspend or close an account, or remove a community. We act in proportion to the problem.
7.5 If we act on your content or account, we tell you what we did, why, and which rule or law it concerns, unless the law prevents it. If you disagree, reply or write to support@dueduck.com within 6 months. A person will look at it again and tell you the outcome.
7.6 If we learn of something suggesting a threat to someone's life or safety, we tell the police.
8. Suspension and ending your account
8.1 You can stop at any time. Delete your account on your Account page, or ask us at privacy@dueduck.com. If you own a community, it's deleted too. If its members still have paid time, delete the community first: it closes to new members and ends when their time runs out.
8.2 We may suspend or end your account, or remove a community, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or the law, if the law requires us to, or if your account puts others or us at risk (for example, fraud, scams or market manipulation). Where reasonable, we warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
8.3 Creators. Before we end a creator's whole account, we tell you why by email at least 30 days ahead, unless the law requires us to act sooner or you have broken these terms repeatedly; then we tell you why when we act. If we limit or suspend your community or part of it, we tell you why when it happens. In each case you can reply to explain, and if we change our decision, we restore your account and its data without delay.
8.4 If DueDuck closes, we'll tell you at least 60 days ahead and let you download your data first.
9. Our responsibility to you
9.1 We work to keep DueDuck running, secure and as these terms describe. If something doesn't work as described, tell us and we'll fix it. If you use DueDuck as a consumer, you also have the rights the law gives you, and nothing in these terms takes them away.
9.2 We aren't responsible for content posted by creators or members, trading or investment decisions anyone makes based on it, losses from trading or investing, a creator not delivering what they promised, or Stripe's or TradingView's services.
9.3 For creators acting as a business: our total liability to you for any claim relating to DueDuck is limited to the greater of (a) the fees we received from your community in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) €100, and we aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost profits. If a claim is made against us because of your content or how you run your community, you'll cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.
9.4 Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, including for intent or gross negligence.
10. Changes to DueDuck and to these terms
10.1 We keep improving DueDuck, and we may change or remove features for good reasons: to add or improve features, to keep DueDuck secure, to follow the law, because a provider we rely on changes, or because few people use a feature. Changes don't cost you anything. If a change makes DueDuck noticeably worse for you, we tell you in advance, and you can stop using it.
10.2 We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they apply (sooner only when the law requires it or to fix a security problem). If you don't agree, you can stop using DueDuck before the change applies.
11. Law and disputes
11.1 These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you also keep the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer laws.
11.2 Disputes go to the Helsinki District Court. If you're a consumer, you may instead go to the courts where you live, and if you live in Finland, you can take a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariitalautakunta.fi) after contacting us first.
